Yeah, point 14 is one of the biggest reasons I dislike the idea of trying to make all four (five) movies one canon, because…urgh. Though, to be honest, it's not like Magneto didn't set himself on that path at the end of XMFC, blech.

I've been betting that Alex is either Scott's cousin or uncle, mostly because I can't think of a way to make the timing work for fatherhood without time travel, but fatherhood's very much a possibility.
